Zyleth B I was excepting covid-19 type stuff because of the title but i was wrong. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/24 Full Review Manuel F I really have to wonder if the people that are reviewing this watches the dubbed version. The dub is terrible. Watch the subbed version. This is easily one of the best and most creative sci-fi movies I've ever watched, highly recommend! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/23 Full Review Clinton E Interesting concept, visually stunning, much better than expected Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Original storyline with above average special effects reminiscent of the multi verse of madness however this isn't as frenetic which makes it more preferable to watch. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review z c This movie had a great concept and interesting story, however I feel like the execution wasn't quite there, it feels like the story and world could have been fleshed out a lot more and even made into a series of movies.I still think its worth watching even if it isn't the best thing out there. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review john p This is one of those hidden gem, under the radar type sci-fi flicks. I actually had to do intensive digging around IMDb to discover it. I am glad I did. So, RT has essentially nothing to say about it and the "Audience" seemed unimpressed. The RT critics pool is off its game not reviewing it and the "Audience" has too lowly rated it. This was a flick full of amazing visuals and solid special FX. Acting is okay and the storyline is quite challenging to try and figure out. All that said, it is still well worth watching. People say it was like Inception or the Matrix but those comparisons are poor. Coma is all it's own unique movie unlike Inception or the Matrix. It is a Russian made film with English dubbed in. SPOILER ALERT: So this fantastic world is constructed of the combined memories of people in a coma. Each person in this "coma" world has special abilities or gifts. It seems that all these coma people are trying to simply survive in this bizarre alt world. And even worse there are entities called the Reapers that are hunting them — seeking to absorb and destroy them. Exactly what they actually are and what real purpose they serve is not very clearly explained. But as for the plot goes, they are essential to a danger element in this alt world. I never figured out who the ad hoc security guards actually were or whose memories created them nor did I discern what they were guarding. They seemed a random element to generate more action scenes. The movie eventually involves a huge surprise and a reveal but then plunges key characters back again into "comavile". Overall it is a dark and slightly disturbing movie filled with incredible visuals and a constant dread. This sci-fi movie seems to border deeper into the fantasy genre considering this strange world of the combined fantastical and distorted memories of select people in a coma back in the real world. Ahh, just watch it.😎👍🍅 Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
