Galvanize did a pretty good job in helping me with my GRE prep. They covered all the question types in the verbal section thoroughly and provided proper tips and techniques. I used to have a notion that the verbal section is purely based on vocabulary and not much thinking goes into it. I am Sushant and I work as a research scientist with the Govt of India. I applied to various Universities (eighteen to nineteen). I also got admission to Universities like Michigan, South California, Duke University, and University College, London. & many other Universities. These are my admits. I have chosen Columbia University. I applied to two/three specializations in different Universities and now I am taking the Master’s in Electrical Engineering.

LORS was well drafted. The questions were very detailed. I just retained the draft given by Galvanize. I made small changes to the course titles. My professor also said that the LOR was well drafted. I communicated my doubts and queries through the mail. I also felt that the WhatsApp group was very useful. I got reminders and doubts were clarified. The GRE had a different portal and admissions had a different portal. It was quite easy to navigate the portal.
I recommend Galvanize to my teammates as they are also preparing for the M.S. Overall, I am happy with Galvanize.

Start early. It's always good to start early with your admissions because it is an elaborate process and you will have a lot of items in your checklist to strike off for each university. Apply to as many universities as possible, since the admission criteria for each University will be different and you might end up getting accepted to a University you never thought of. Make sure your SOP is good and strong, a really good SOP takes your application a long way when compared to your grades. Also ensure that your SOP reflects well on your experiences, your interests, why you are choosing a particular University, and how your University will help you with your goals. Try not to get too disheartened by rejections, it's part of the process, acceptance will come your way too! The entire MS admission process from shortlisting to getting your visa will be hectic and overwhelming, but you will get through it.
Ask for help, and get your SOP reviewed. For the GRE, please work on your vocabulary, that helps. Practicing questions, reading long passages, and summarising will help in the actual test. Because the GRE is a 3-4 hour exam and requires focus and concentration to be able to sit and take the exam, reading long passages will help you with your Verbal component. Do not take your mock tests lightly, they help you adapt to a GRE-like environment and also tell you where exactly you stand. When you start working on a particular topic, while studying and taking quizzes, you might score well. But taking a mock test will tell you what exactly your strengths and weaknesses are, as a whole.

I scored 308 on my diagnostic test. I felt it was a fine score, and I could improve because I knew where I was making mistakes. The quantitative section and content were good for me as I was strong in them. The verbal section was also fine. Sometimes, I felt it was difficult for me because I was weak in the verbal section. Some levels were very difficult, and some I could do it confidently. The more challenging levels gave me an understanding of where I was weak. My doubts were solved. I just had doubts about whether I was improving or where I was going. This was something I had, and my course managers helped me with it.
I think the Mock test at Galvanize is more difficult than the actual GRE. It is good to be that way. It gave me a real-life experience. I looked at the personalized reports and learned a lot from them. The course managers were great. The constant reminders and warnings on my status of where I lack really helped a lot.

I did my undergrad in Electronics and Communication in 2018 till now, working as a Software Engineer at Bosch. I wanted to do my master's in Data Science. In college, I took artificial intelligence as my elective subject. That was when I became curious about learning data science. My name is Swaraj Bhosle and I am from Maharashtra, currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Hindustan University, Chennai. I first heard about Galvanize through a seminar that they gave in HITS, Chennai. What convinced me the most to enroll with them was the transparency in the admission process and a walk through reality. I opted for a master's program in the UK and Germany for which Galvanize assisted me very well. I got admissions from some of the renowned universities in Germany such as USL and TUM. I decided to move forward with TUM.
Since Galvanize is located in Chennai, it was easy for me to locate it and research it. I was looking up consultancies in Chennai and a friend told me to look up Galvanize. I went to their office and met with an agent who explained the whole process to me and my parents. The other consultancies that I spoke with had a process wherein we have to give our details and they will create a mail on behalf of us and we have to give them power of attorney to move forward with the application. 90% of the consultancy follows this process. The difference between Galvanize and other consultancies is that I had full control over my application which was very satisfying. The course structures in other consultancies were also pretty complex. Things had to be paid for in installments.
Coming to Galvanize it was very simple. They said that the consultancy is not responsible and I have to handle my applications. The only thing that they will be helping with was the Statement of Purpose (SOP), and the profile-building part. They also helped me with IELTS and I took a course on GRE.
