This year, our community’s support is more crucial than ever for the Animal Services Center as we face unprecedented intake numbers. In July alone, we welcomed 121 cats, 194 dogs, and even a chicken into our care. With our doors open six days a week, this equates to an average intake of 10 animals per day.

To address this urgent need and find loving homes for these animals, the Animal Services Center is proud to participate in the nationwide Clear the Shelters event. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by homeless animals in our community and encourages adoption to alleviate overcrowding in our shelter.

Event Details:

When: Saturday, August 10th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Where: Animal Services Center: 1207 Hatton Road Wichita Falls, TX 76302

Extras:

? Fun crafts for the kids to make and take home

? Goodie bags for dog and cat adopters

Special Offer:

On this special day, adoption fees will be waived for all animals. Adoption includes the following for each animal adopted —ensuring each pet is ready to start their new life with a loving family:

Adopters must pre-pay for the animal to be spayed or neutered at their veterinarian of choice. Adopted animals 6 months or older will be taken to the chosen veterinarian’s office by Animal Services staff. Puppies and kittens under 6 months of age will be given a date that the procedure must be completed. Adoptable animals can be seen at the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services Center at 1207 Hatton Road in Wichita Falls, or by visiting our website at https://www.wichitafallstx.gov/2262/Animals-Currently-in-the-Shelter
