Breakfast Exchange Club honors Haverhill Bank’s Liz Cronin
HAVERHILL — Haverhill Bank’s Elizabeth “Liz” Cronin was recently named Exchangite of the Year by the Breakfast Exchange Club of Greater Haverhill in recognition of her sensitivity to community needs and service to fulfill the club’s mission.
Cronin, vice president of compliance for the bank, was unanimously selected by a committee of past award recipients. Immediate Past President Diane Galvin said Cronin became a standout early on, accepting the position as the club’s treasurer when the post became vacant.
“If there is a need, she will fill it without hesitation,” Galvin said. “Liz is not a person who looks for recognition or who seeks out awards. She is a member because she cares about people in need, and she wants to do whatever she can to help us fulfill our mission. She is there for the right reasons.”
Cronin, who also serves on the board of the Breakfast Exchange Club, takes on other volunteer tasks. She recently traveled to Moldova to help Ukrainian refugees, Galvin cited as another example. “If Liz believes in a cause, she will go to any lengths to help out. She believes in taking action, rather than talking about things. She strives to make a difference in this world, and the Breakfast Exchange Club is lucky to have her as a member and board member.”
Cronin joined Haverhill Bank three years ago. She has more than 30 years of management experience and began her banking career in 2007. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Gordon College.
